The 6th Project Steering Committee of the Interconnection of Electric was held in Kampala. The Project covers construction of cross-border electricity transmission lines in the Nile Equatorial Lakes Countries namely Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. The Interconnection project is coordinated by the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program of the Nile Basin Initiative (NELSAP/NBI). For more details see the attached press release.
